Types of Registration
Nominated Principal Hairdresser
A nominate principal hairdresser is the person who is in charge and directs the hairdressing practices within the salon. If the person who holds the nominated principal registration leaves the salon for any period of time there must always be another principal in the salon during those times.
Employee Hairdresser
A registered employee hairdresser works under the guidance of a nominated principal registered hairdresser. An employee cannot be in charge of or work unsupervised in a salon, a principal hairdresser must be present at all times while hairdressing is being practiced.
