State Administrative Tribunal
The State Administrative Tribunal began operations in 2005 as an independent body that makes and reviews a range of administrative decisions.
Under Section 16(5) of the Hairdressers Registration Act 1946, any person who feels aggrieved by a reviewable decision of the Board in relation to that person may apply to the State Administrative Tribunal for a review of the decision.
Definition of Person Aggrieved - means a person whose registration as a hairdresser is affected by a reviewable decision or who applies for registration.
Definition of Reviewable Decision - means a decision of the Board in refusing or suspending registration or granting registration on a condition or conditions.
