The Abolition of the Hairdressers Registration Board
The Government introduced laws that were passed by Parliament in August 2010 to abolish the Hairdressers Registration Board. The Board’s activities, including the registration of hairdressers, cease on 1 November 2010 and the Board will be wound up by the end of the 2010 calendar year.
While the registration process for Hairdressers will cease the industry will continue to be regulated by, amongst other laws, the Fair Trading Act 1987 and the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984. Click here for full information....
